Pricing is based entirely on the number of hours required for your project. As the different product offerings display, there are bundled discounts for hourly packages, but in terms of book design, video creation, and other products, these are products based on an hourly rate which includes the number of photos, time need to scan and edit photos, book or video design, writing content for your book and more. Every project is different, so the total cost will be variable depending on what is required.

Based on the factors referenced above, the time needed to complete your project will vary. Given that projects are priced on a case-by-case basis, two hypothetical examples are provided below.

1. Basic Book Build and Story Telling

• 100 photos of clear quality organized in the order you want them placed in the book
• 5-10 hours in project consultation including selection of the template for your book and then 2-3 hourly sessions to review the book as it is built
• 5 hours scanning and uploading of photos
• 15 hours required to perfect and edit photos
• Content, including captions and quotes, provided by you
• Book length: 50 pages

If your book includes 100 photos and they are organized in the way you want them to appear in the book with content and captions, this will minimize the time required in total. Even so, at a minimum, a project like this will generally require 50-60 hours. However, if the aforementioned items are organized and prepared ahead of time, the length of time required might be closer to 25-30 hours.

Estimated cost for this type of project: $3,500+

2. Full Book Build

• 100-200 unorganized photos of fair quality requiring much photo design and editing as well as time during which we work though the photos to create a story
• 20-25 hours in project consultation reviewing the photos, timeline, book design all other relevant elements as well as 2-3 hourly sessions to review book as it is built
• 50-60 hours required to edit and improve your photos
• Content, including captions, loosely provided by you, but written primarily by me
• Book Length: 75-100 pages

Unlike the first example, a project like this one requires considerably more time for editing photos, sessions to review the photos and create a timeline and story, authoring material and captions for the book, and overall book design. A project like this will often take as long as 100-150 hours to complete, increasing the cost of your book.

Estimated cost for this type of project: $10,000+

As a rule, if you provide pre-selected photos of good quality and organized them in the order you would like them to appear, it will minimize the hours required and, in turn, the cost to build your book.  

That being said, photos from older albums that have degraded quality that are pasted or taped into older albums can be used, but it will likely greatly increase the time required to scan and repair your photos and build your book. 

Provided your photos can be preserved, there aren't set limitations on what types of photos or files can be used. This is something we can review as we outline the project.
